Collection: Garage Door Seal Samples

Not sure which garage door seal suits your door, or whether the brush is as dense as we say? Order a sample: a short length of the actual seal in its carrier, $3 each with shipping included, for the sectional and roller brush seals (fire retardant or weatherproof) and the rubber bottom seal.

Hold it against your gap, feel the filament, check the carrier angle, then order the kit knowing it fits.

The straight answers

A $3 sample answers most of the questions people email us. Here’s what’s in each one and how to use it.

  • $3each, shipping included
  • 5seal types to sample
  • 55°standard carrier angle
  • Same dayor next business day dispatch

What’s in each sample

The real thing, cut short.

Every sample is cut from the same stock we ship in the kits, in the same 40 mm aluminium carrier, so what you hold is what you’d fit. There’s one for each seal type:

Standard carriers are 55 degrees. If your door needs a different profile, we also make 90-degree (F) and 180-degree (H) carriers and can send a sample of those too; just ask when you order.

How to use your sample

Four things to check before you order the kit.

  1. Hold it in place

Close the door and hold the carrier against the lintel or jamb where it would sit. See where the filament lands on the door; it should brush the face, not jam against it.

  2. Measure the gap

Sectional: across the top and down both sides. Roller: from outside, door down, at the deep point of the rib. Take the biggest reading on each edge.

  3. Feel the quality

Check the filament density and the gauge of the carrier, and compare them with anything else you’re considering. Then ask the other supplier what their warranty is.

  4. Email us, or order

Send a photo with your measurements and we’ll confirm the kit, or go straight to the sectional or roller kits.

Sample questions

The ones we’re asked most. More on the FAQ page.

Do I need a sample before I order?

No. Most customers order from a photo and three gap measurements, and we’ll confirm the kit by email before you pay if you’d like us to. A sample is for when you want to feel the brush, check the carrier against your lintel, or compare us with another supplier before you commit.

How long does a sample take to arrive?

We usually dispatch the same or next business day. Standard delivery is 1–3 business days to metro areas in the eastern states, 3–6 to rural eastern areas and 4–9 to SA, WA and the NT.

Can I get a sample of the 90-degree or 180-degree carrier?

Yes. Our standard carrier is 55 degrees, which suits most doors. If your lintel or jamb needs a 90-degree (F) or 180-degree (H) profile, email us when you order and we’ll send that instead.

Brush or rubber: which sample do I need?

Brush for the top and sides of the door, rubber for the bottom. If you’re sealing the whole perimeter you’ll want one brush sample for your door type and the bottom seal sample.
